About technology
The state-of-the-art printing and high gloss varnishing line with the highest capacity, “Roland 900”, has been set up at the Kanfanar factory. This machine enables six-colour printing on large formats and is equipped with almost all technological accessories present on the market which guarantee high quality printing as well as control of the process itself. High gloss varnishing is one of its distinctive features. It is networked through the Pecom system with the production prepress and has a maximum speed of 13,000 sheets per hour.
In addition to Roland 900 and Rolanda 700, we have had installed the latest printing press for B1 format print manufactured by KBA. This investment worth more than 2 million consists of six power units for printing and a power unit for high-gloss varnishing as well as numerous technological accessories which provide high print quality and are available on the market today. Its technological capacities equal those of the somewhat bigger Roland 900 but its operational speed is significantly higher.
The introduction of the latest printing press has resulted in productivity increase which is now on the same level of European companies in the same industry.
“Istragrafika” has become the most modern cardboard packaging factory in the region the production output of which increased from 7 to 8 thousand tons.
